My water heater went out three weeks ago. My son bought me a new one and it is sitting in the garage still in the box, but the plumber wanted $650 to put it in and I do not have it. I have been heating water on the stove to wash up. I am 78 and I live alone. The old one is in the closet off the kitchen.
