One More Mission

If you need a hand, ask. If you have one to give, there is a neighbour close by waiting on it.

About us

Go. Serve. Make Disciples.

One More Mission is a project that was founded in 2026 with one goal in mind — to bring about the kingdom of heaven, for such a time as this. It all started with Jesus's ministry in the New Testament, which was to serve, not to be served. We were reminded of this when there was a need that arose in our community and we weren't able to meet it. We knew there was someone out there that could show Christ by meeting it. We just didn't know where to find them.

It's time we begin focusing on home. The neighbours that surround us.

What got done

Read the stories
In their words
  • I had been putting a kitchen chair against that back door for six weeks before I asked. He fixed the frame, planed the door and put a new lock on it, and he rang first so I knew who was coming. I sleep now.

    Georgia Rogersville, TN Home Repair

  • I did not ask for anything to be fixed. A young fella has been coming by on Thursdays since March and we drink coffee and talk about my wife. I did not know that counted as a mission. It has been the best hour of my week.

Wendell Mount Carmel, TN Prayer & Visitation

  • Two men turned up on the Saturday morning and had the hot water back on before dinner. They would not take a penny. I had forgotten what it was like to wash up properly.

Ruth Ann Church Hill, TN Plumbing & Water

How it works

Five steps, start to finish

Ask

Tell us what you need in your own words. It takes about five minutes and it costs nothing.

We read it

A person on our team reads every request, usually the same day. Nothing is posted publicly until they say yes.

Someone steps up

The mission goes on the board. A volunteer offers to take it, and we approve the match before anyone is given your address.

They call first

Nobody comes unannounced. Your volunteer rings you and agrees a time before they set out. If somebody turns up at your door who never phoned, do not let them in - call us.

The work gets done

They come and do it. You can follow the whole thing with your tracking code, right through to finished.

You do not need to be a tradesman

Some missions need a licensed plumber. Some need a truck. Some need nothing but somebody willing to sit and drink a cup of coffee with a widower on a Tuesday afternoon. Tell us what you can do and we will find the mission that fits.
